FIBROMYALGIA
(those who were unable to view the entire article previously, please forgive us; there was a glitch in the system that cut off the bottom of the article, which included recommendations. The problem is now corrected...thank you) 9/10/09

Exerpted from Prescription for Nutritional Healing; information in parenthesis are notations from VitaGanza.

Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) is a rheumatic disorder characterized by chronic achy muscular pain that has no obvious physical cause. It is closely associated with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), except that FMS is noted for pain predominating over fatigue and CFS is noted for fatigue predominating over pain. At this time, there are no tests to confirm Fibromyalgia Syndrome.

Symptoms: Tenderness around the lower vertebra of the neck, at the insertion of the second rib, around the upper part of the thigh bone, the middle of the knee joint, muscles connected to the base of the skull, neck, upper and mid back, side of the elbow, upper and outer muscles of the buttocks, chemical and/or food allergies, dizziness and loss of balance, extreme fatigue, headaches, irritable bowel syndrome (diarrhea and/or constipation, often alternating), jaw pain, memory loss and difficulty concentrating, menstrual pain, sensitivity to bright lights or loud noises, sensitivity to dairy products, skin sensitivity, stiffness in the morning and often when walking.

Fungus is a primary link to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia but a virus may also be involved; unfortunately, medical science does not know the cause so only symptoms are addressed with medications. There is also growing awareness that parasites may be involved. This can be corroborated by using the Parasitology Specimen Kit (type SPECIMEN into the Product Search box at www.vitaganza.com)

Over the years, we have found that the best protocol for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia is the following:

RPR: 2-3 capsules upon rising, 2-3 capsules midday and 2-3 capsules at bedtime on an empty stomach, taken at least 45 minutes before or 2 hours after food consumption. This is for pain and inflammation and usually works better than Wobenzym or Vital ImmuSol for those with Fibromyalgia.

FloraMax50 for Vital Flora: 2-3 capsules upon rising and 2-3 capsules at bedtime for at least one month, then may decrease to 3 capsules at bedtime for at least 2-3 months. This rebuilds lost beneficial flora throughout the gastrointestinal/urinary tract that is necessary to fight off toxic overgrowth.

Vital ImmuSol or NSC-100: Take 2-3 at bedtime on an empty stomach; aids with proper immune system function.

Relax-All: Take 2-3 at bedtime. Aids with sleep without the use of prescription sleeping pills.

Omega-3 Super Enteric-coat Fish Oils: Molecularly distilled fish oils are cleans and safe in helping with neurological function, distilled and taken on an empty stomach to work systemically.

I.B.S. Kit: Aids with healing and sealing the intestinal walls, which are usually weakened by fungal overgrowth; helps with proper stool formation, as well.

Above all, it is important to follow the Anti-fungal Diet, which may be found in this KnowledgeBase under Diets and Cleanses.
