What is Wobenzym? What is the difference between the red and clear formulas? What is the highest dose I should use? The bottle says to take 3 tablets two times a day; is that enough? Rush/Tacoma, WA (Listening on XM Satellite Radio/Channel 170)
Dear Rush ~ Great questions! In a nutshell, Wobenzym is a proteolytic systemic oral enzyme that is taken on an empty stomach to work throughout the body to dissolve and clean out toxic build-up, torn tissue/cartilage, fibrous tissue, scar and other necrotic tissue, plaque and other "junk" in the body that causes inflammation and pain and does not belong there.
The red formula's coating contains sugar and sugar stabilizers while the clear coating does not. The formulas are identical in every other way.
Dosage is based upon specific needs, from arthritis to injuries, heart disease and neurological disorders and so much more!
I attached some literature I put together from Dr. William Wong and Michael Loes, MD in his book all about Wobenzym called, "Aspirin Alternative." Since the book discusses the history and all uses of Wobenzym, in my opinion, the title does not do the book justice. However, I believe Dr. Loes wrote the book (over 7 years ago) because of his concern with NSAID's (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs).
The information in the attachment should help to decide dosage and usage for your needs. For more specific and comprehensive information, purchase "Aspirin Alternative" at www.vitaganza.com.
I hope this helps...Vicki
