Preparing for Invasive surgery, whether under general or topical anesthesia, is a smart idea. Exposure to internal micro-organisms (possibly spread by an invasive procedure) or even environmental airborn micro-organisms can be minimized by following certain regimens 1-2 weeks before surgery and continuing the regimens at least 1 week following surgery.
Some suggested ideas:
Vital ImmuSol or NSC-100 Glucans: Ramp-up immune system function systemically (2 upon rising and 2 at bedtime EMPTY STOMACH) - discontinue use 24 hours before surgery and may resume immediately following surgery
FloraMax50 or Vital Flora: Fortify the gastrointestinal/urinary tract and immune system function in the gut (2 upon rising and 2 at bedtime EMPTY STOMACH) - discontinue use 24 hours before surgery and may resume immediately following surgery (however, if an antibiotic is administered, be sure to take probiotics at least 2 hours after each antibiotic dose and just before bedtime at least 2 hours after the final antibiotic dose - if intravenous antibiotics are administered, begin probiotics after disconnected from antibiotics)
PSOE's (Vital Proteozymes, Ultra Proteozymes or Wobenzym): Fight inflammation before surgery and promote rapid healing and pain relief after surgery (read more about PSOE's by typing PSOE into the Search the KnowledgeBase box) BUT PLEASE NOTE, must discontinue 72 hours before surgery and, if prescription blood thinners/lubricators are consumed, do not use PSOE's at all. For pain relief, when you cannot use PSOE's, try Arnica Montana 30C sublingually.
Post-op Abdominal Surgeries: IntestiNEW or the I.B.S. kit are very helpful in healing/sealing the gastrointestinal tract; use in conjunction with probiotics
Post-op cutting surgeries - fight infection at wound site: Mix well, 1 - 2 Tablespoons ImmuSkin Cream with content of 1 Vital ImmuSol or NSC-100 capsule and apply sparingly to incision or wound site for rapid healing and soothing wound area.
PLEASE NOTE: IN ALL CASES, CHECK WITH THE PATIENT'S SURGEON BEFORE USING ANY SUPPLEMENT, AS THE SURGEON OR ATTENDING PHYSICIAN MAY PRESCRIBE MEDICATIONS THAT CANNOT BE USED WITH CERTAIN SUPPLEMENTS
