Thin skin is common among the elderly, particularly those who are using, or have used in the past, prescription steroids (internally or externally), NSAIDS (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), blood thinners/lubricators, blood pressure lowering medications, HRT (hormone replacement therapy drugs), birth control pills, general anesthesia, chemotherapy and possibly more.
Depending upon the types of prescriptions currently being taken, there are a number of natural remedies that may be helpful, including a high-quality B-complex (such as B-100 Complex Sust Rls or B-Total Sublingual), additional Folic Acid (such as Folic Acid 800mcg or Folic Acid Powder), Vitamin K (may take Vitamin K or obtain it through greens, such as Spirulina/Blue Green Algae or Ultra Juice Green), a high-end amino acid complex (MaxAmino 1200 or Formula 50) and Arthred Powder (collagen and cartilage builder).
If you are taking prescription blood thinners/lubricators, you should not use Vitamin K or anything that will clean blood; however, the B-complex, Folic Acid, Arthred and amino acid complex should be safe for use to strengthen and thicken thin skin, however, this should be discussed with your medical doctor.
