I have the beginning stages of a cataract and want to avoid surgery, so what do I need to do? I hear you talk about the Eye Care Package on HealthTalk Live all the time but you have never actually talked about what's in it and what it does.~Melanie/Santa Ana, CA
Dear Melanie~The Eye Care Package contains 2 bottles of Jarrow Vision Optimizer, 1 bottle of 4 vials of Visitein Eye Drops and 1 bottle of Eskimo-3 Fish Oil Softgels. We put this package together based upon the recommendation of Dr. Robert Abel who wrote the book, "Eye Care Revolution," an excellent read and great book for deciding whether or not surgery is necessary for your needs. Dr. Abel says most patients who have surgery will require surgery for cataracts again some years later. As such, why not try something else first?
The antioxidants, vitamins and amino acids in the Vision Optimizer capsules and Visitein Eye Drops provide nutrients to the eyes both internally and externally. The DHA in Eskimo-3 Fish Oils help to coat the rods and cones of the eyes as well as all nerve endings. In addition, we always recommend drinking plenty of water; after all, your eyes are comprised of about 80% water! Try Revitalized Water for this. If you are not a big water drinker, you may not absorb water well. Revitalized Water, which was developed by a doctor in New York, permeates tissues in the body better than tap or regular bottled water because of the way it is purified. It is not distilled so it is not devoid of minerals - it is a "live" water and it is the only water we drink. Because of its permeability in the body, you can get away with drinking just 2-3 bottles per day to properly hydrate. Here's to your eyes!~Vicki
