I thought about taking wobenzym or Vital Proteozymes to cleanse my body. I had a colon resection in oct 2008 and my gallbladder removed on apr.1st,2009. I take supplements such as fish oil multivitamins, etc. My only prescription is Lisenopril for protein in my urine. The nephrologist said it reduced pressure in the kidneys. The dose is 5mg @ bedtime. Should I take PSOE's, or is there a danger. I would like to clean out my liver and my body from all the medications (pain and antibiotics that I've taken this year.) You have helped me before and I really enjoy listening to you every afternoon on XM. Can you listen to archived programs? I would love to share some of this info with my wife. Thanks for all you do. If you come to NC, I would love to meet you. Thanks for all your help. I know God will bless you for your concern for his people. ~ Sam from Virginia
Thank you for your very kind sentiments, Sam. Lisinopril is used for high blood pressure, an ACE inhibitor that uses chemicals to tighten blood vessels so that blood can flow more smoothly and allows the heart to pump more effienciently. There can be other uses and perhaps your Nephrologist has experience with this medication, believing it will help with protein in your urine.
PSOE's are excellent for gobbling up excess proteins (particularly yeast, fungus, parasites, bacterial, viral and other micro-organisms that do not belong), so you may be able to discontinue Lisinopril for the specific purpose you describe, with the guidance of your medical doctor. Please never discontinue Lisinopril without his/her guidance, as one side-effect is heart attack or stroke. Other side effects of Lisinopril include headaches, cough, dizziness, fatigue, upset stomach, diarrhea, weakness, sneezing, runny nose, rash, loss of libido, swelling, jaundice and chest pain.
Because of these side-effects, we recommend that, if you are going to use PSOE's, maintain a maximum of 15 tablets per day (5 upon rising, 5 midday and 5 at bedtime on an empty stomach, taken a minimum of 45 minutes before or 2 hours after food consumption). A different option is to use Theramedix NK (1 upon rising and 2 at bedtime), which is generally considered safe to use even with blood pressure medications that alter blood vessels and cells. You could also use LiveRx (2-3 capsules twice per day) for liver cleansing. Most of all, we recommend following the Anti-fungal Diet (see Diets and Cleanses) and the Anti-fungal Rotation Regimen (see Fungus and Anti-fungals), all of which is safe with Lisinopril.
To protect what is left of your bowel (assuming only a segment was removed), you might consider using IntestiNEW powder (1 scoop twice per day) and a high-potency probiotic (Vital Flora or FloraMax50, 2 capsules upon rising and 2 at bedtime for 2-3 months before reducing to 3 at bedtime daily). FiberSMART would be a good fiber supplement if you are not consuming enough fiber through diet.
